CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-306 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AJ~ENDING PARK CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />PROGRAM FOR AMADOR PARK, SPORTS PARK AND WESTWIND <br />YOUTH BUILDING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at their January 28, 1981 meeting, the Park and Recreation <br />Commission developed a priority plan for future park <br />development for Council consideration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on February 10, 1981, the Pleasanton City Council <br />approved the completion of Amador Valley Community <br />Park as the project to be submitted for Proposition I <br />fund.~ng;'apd <br /> <br />on August 26, 1981, the Park and Recreation Commission <br />met to consider re-allocation of funding for park <br />projects and made three recommendations for Council <br />consideration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council received and reviewed the report of <br />Dolores Bengtson, Director of the Department of Recreation <br />and Human Resources, dated September 3, 1981, which <br />outlines in detail the Park and Recreation Commission <br />proposals. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Amends the 1981-82 capital improvement budget by <br /> transfering the $200,000 presently budgeted for Amador <br /> Park to Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park and to <br /> budget $400,000 additional funds from the projected fund <br /> balance to Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park for a <br /> total of $600,000 for development of the front section <br /> of the park. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2: Prior to establishing a plan for the front section <br />of the park, Council directs the Park and Recreation <br />Commission to hold public hearings to receive input <br />regarding present and future park needs. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />3: Council supports the request of Zone 7 to develop <br /> and maintain the property next to the Sports and Recreation <br /> Park for use as administrative offices and a reverse <br /> osmosis plantwith the understanding that the site will <br /> be maintained in such a way as to enhance the beauty <br /> of the park and surrounding neighborhood. <br /> <br /> <br />
