CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~D. 81-405 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS FOR <br />EXTENSION OF PICO AVENUE BETWEEN VINEYARD AVENUE <br />~qD THE DEL VALLE PARKWAY AND APPROVING AGREemENT <br />WITH MACKAY AND SOMPS FOR COMPLETION OF FINAL <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />the approved Capital Improvement Program for fiscal <br />year 1981-82 includes construction of a Pico Avenue <br />connection from Vineyard Avenue to Arroyo Del <br />Valle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the engineering firm of MacKay and Somps has completed <br />the preliminary plans for the City's extension of <br />Pico Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />based on the Initial Environmental Study, a mitigated <br />negative declaration was adopted by Council on <br />November 24, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation <br /> for approval of the plans; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on November 24, <br /> 1981; and <br /> <br />t~{EREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that this plan for the extension <br />of Pico Avenue is consistent with the General Plan <br />policies of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the plans regarding the extension of Pico <br /> Avenue between Vineyard Avenue and the Del Valle Parkway <br /> consisting of the construction of a two-lane thorough- <br /> fare and Bridge over the Arroyo Del Valle, and installation <br /> of a 12" water line within the corresponding right-of-way, <br /> and the extension of the Del Valle Parkway roadway <br /> connection, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />The final design for the project shall provide <br />adequate provisions to reduce and control any <br />erosion and sedimentation affecting the Arroyo <br />Del Valle during and after construction. <br /> <br />The final design for the project shall include <br />sufficient landscaping to replace trees and <br />shrubs removed for the construction. <br /> <br /> <br />
