the granting of the variance will not constitute <br />a grant of special privilege inconsistent with <br />the limitation on other properties classified in <br />the same zoning district; and <br /> <br />the granting of the variance will not be <br />detrimental to the public health, safety, or <br />welfare, or materially injurious to properties <br />or improvements in the vicinity; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The recitals herein contained are true and correct, <br /> and this City Council so finds. <br /> <br />Section 2: A variance to Section 2-9.17 (Standards for Off- <br /> Street Parking Facilities) of Article 16, Chapter 2, <br /> Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of <br /> Pleasanton is granted to allow 23 foot back-up <br /> distance for perpendicular parking and an 8 foot <br /> width parallel parking space on the property <br /> located at 4673 Augustine Street, subject to the <br /> following conditions: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />That the development be substantially as shown <br />on the site plan, Exhibit A, on file with the <br />Planning Division, except for the modifications <br />of the parking area as allowed herein. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />That the applicant shall submit plans to the <br />Design Review Board for consideration and <br />approval prior to issuance of a building permit. <br /> <br />(3) That the added unit be a studio apartment <br /> rather than a one-bedroom apartment. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />That the 5 existing parking spaces shall <br />all be striped and have d~mensions of 9 feet <br />x 19 feet. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 9, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None ~ <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk ~ ~ w~.~t~ <br /> Bri W.~S g City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
