M~4ORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> between <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> and <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON POLICE MANAGEMENT UNIT, <br /> OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL #3 <br /> <br />This memorandum of understanding is entered into pursuant to the provisions of <br />Section 3500 et seq. of the government code of the state of California. <br /> <br />The employee relations officer (city manager) is the representative of the city <br />of Pleasanton in employer-employee relations matters and has been designated the <br />representative for the purposes of meeting and conferring. <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton Police Management Unit~ Operating Engineers Local #3 is the <br />formally recognized employee organization for the police management unit com- <br />prised of the classifications of police lieutenant and police captain. <br /> <br />The parties have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages, hours and other <br />terms and conditions of employment for the employees in said representation unit <br />and have freely exchanged information, opinions and proposals and have endeavored <br />to reach agreement on all matters relating to the employment conditions and <br />employer-employee relations of such employees. <br /> <br />This memorandum of understanding shall be presented to the Pleasanton City <br />Council as the joint recommendation of the undersigned parties for salary and <br />employee benefit adjustments for the period commencing January 1, 1982, through <br />December 31, 1983. <br /> <br />The existing wages, hours and conditions of employment of the represented classi- <br />fications shall be amended only as follows: <br /> <br />I. WaSes <br /> <br />A. Effective January 1, 1982, the salary ranges of each classification shall <br /> be as follows: <br /> <br />CLASSIFICATION MINIMUM MAX]~4IFM <br />Lieutenant ~ $2638 <br />Captain $2342 $2930 <br /> <br />B. Effective January 1, 1982, the specific monthly salary paid each employee <br /> in the represented classifications shall be as follows: <br /> <br />Lieutenants (2) $2565 <br />Captain (1) $2850 <br /> <br />C. Effective January 1, 1983, the salary ranges of each classification shall <br /> be increased to the following: <br /> <br />CLASSIFICATION MINIMUM MAXIMUM <br />Lieutenant $2301 72875 <br />Captain $2553 $3194 <br /> <br />Effective January 1, 1983, the specific monthly salary paid each employee <br />in the represented classifications shall be as follows: <br /> <br />Lieutenants (2) $2796 <br />Captain (1) $3107 <br /> <br /> <br />
