WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-158 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL <br />PLAN CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATIONS FOR TWO <br />SITES IN THE PLANNING AREA <br /> <br />at its meeting of May 11, 1982, the City Council <br />received applications for General Plan amendments <br />regarding the following properties: <br /> <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to <br />amend the General Plan land use designation <br />of several properties on the west side of <br />Martin Avenue between Mohr Avenue and the <br />Arroyo Mocho and an approximately 45 acre <br />site east of Martin Avenue immediately south <br />of the Arroyo Mocho from "Medium Density <br />Residential" and "Sand and Gravel Harvesting" <br />to "Low Density Residential".(GP-81-9) <br /> <br />Application of the Roman Catholic Bishop of <br />Oakland and Devcon Development, Inc. to amend <br />the General Plan designation of an approxi- <br />mately 3.9 acre parcel of land located on the <br />east side of Santa Rita Road approximately <br />250 ft. north of its intersection with the <br />Southern Pacific railroad tracks from "Medium <br />Density Residential" to "General and Limited <br />Industrial" (GP-82-1); and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission has held public hearings <br />on these proposed changes and has made recommendations <br />for approval concerning same; and <br /> <br />the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration <br />regarding GP-81-9 and a Mitigated Negative Declaration <br />regarding GP-82-1 were appropriate for the proposed <br />General Plan amendments and adopted Resolutions <br />82-156 and 82-157 approving the Negative Declaration <br />and the Mitigated Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />the City Council held public hearings with respect <br />to the General Plan amendments at which time any <br />member of the public was offered the opportunity <br />to address the City Council on said amendments; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after the close of the public hearing, the City <br /> Council deliberated upon the proposed amendments, <br /> <br /> <br />
