~E~AS, ~E~AS, WIlEREAS, WHEREAS , WtIEREAS, CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 82-157 RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLAP~TION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (GP-82-1) CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION AND REZONING PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF SANTA RITA ROAD APPROXIMATELY 250 FT. NORTH OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD TRACKS at its meeting of May 11, 1982, the City Council received a proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration for a General Plan amendment changing the land use designation of an approximately 3.9 acre site located on the east side of Santa Rita Road approxi- mately 250 ft. north of its intersection with the Southern Pacific railroad tracks from "Medium Density Residential" to "General and Limited Industrial" and for rezoning the property from the 'W[Agricultural) to "I-P" (Industrial Park) District; and the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated February 1, 1982 and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan amendment and rezoning; and the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance wih the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Mitigated Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and the City Council finds that based upon the review of the Initial Study, and the testimony and docu- mentary evidence presented at the public hearing that there may be significant impacts on the environment, but that conditions listed in Section 1 below as mitigations render these potential impacts insignificant; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
