~tEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the two <br />Initial Studies dated May 14, 1982 pertaining to <br />GP-82-3 and received the recommendations of the <br />staff and Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />General Plan changes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of negative <br />declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />W}IEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that, with appropriate modi- <br />fications to certain policies to mitigate potential <br />impacts, the proposed changes to the Land Use and <br />Circulation Element, the General Plan Supplement <br />and the Noise Element of the General Plan would not <br />have any significant adverse effects on the environment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COL~CIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the adoption of a Negative Declaration <br /> for the changes to the General Plan listed as items <br /> 1 through 5 above. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS P~SOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 8, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> RO YOR <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FO~I: <br /> <br /> ngW Swl City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
