3. Determine quantity of work completed for inclusion in monthly payments to contractor. 4. Review reinforcing steel, falsework diagrams, shop drawings, etc. 5. Keep record of changes for inclusion in final record drawings for project. The services of Engineer under this agreement shall not include the following: Preparation of an environmental assessment to determine whether the improvement will have a significant impact on the environment within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act. b. Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report. c. Work on bond segregations and/or subdivision and parcel maps. d. Negotiations in connection with right-of-way acquisition. The performance by Engineer of services excluded by this paragraph, if required by City, shall be under separate oral or written agreement. In consideration of the services set forth above, City shall pay to Engineer the following fee and costs: For the "I - DESIGN PHASE" the Engineer shall receive 7.5% of construction cost for completion of the plans and specifications, payable upon receipt of the proceeds of assessments collected and/ or bonds sold, but the amount subject to adjustment until comple- tion of construction; b. For the "II - CONSTRUCTION PHASE" the Engineer shall receive 3.5% of the construction cost for the construction-related services. c. Billing will be made once each four-week period for the percentage of work completed in the prior four-week period. Printing and other services ordered by City shall be paid by City on a time-and-materials basis in accordance with the rate schedule attached hereto as Exhibit "A". The printing costs shall be in- cluded in the incidental costs of the district. e. Any additional work authorized shall be done at the rate schedule attached. The above amount shall be paid by City out of the proceeds of assessments levied and bonds to be issued in said proceedings. In no event, however, will the compensation of Engineer exceed the amount set forth by Engineer for that purpose in the report, or any amended report, prepared by him under Section 10204 of the Streets and Highways Code.
