The employee's authorization request shall be in the following terms: " Date: You are hereby authorized and requested to deduct from wages due me such amount as which will total the current amount of my union dues as reported to you by the President of Local No. 1974, International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO-CLC and to make such deductions for each and every succeeding month unless and until I revoke this assignment in writing. You are hereby authorized an~ you are to pay the total amount deducted each month to Local No~ 1974. This assignment is voluntary. 2.4 2.5 Signature Communication with Employees Any representative of the international Union shall give notice to the Fire Chief when contacting City employees during the duty period of the employees, provided that solicitation for membership or other internal employee organization business shall be conducted only during the off-duty hours of all employees concerned. Prearrangement for routine contact maybe made by agreement between the Union and the Fire Chief and when made shall continue until revoked. Bulletin Boards The City shall provide suitable space for bulletin boards in the fire stations. The Union shall be allowed to use such bulletin boards for communications having to do with official Union business, such as time and place of meetings. Use of City Buildings City buildings and other facilities may be made available for use by City employees or the Union or its representative~ in accordance with such administrative procedures as may be established by the City Manager or his/her designated representative. Advance Notice Except in cases of emergency as provided below in this subsection, the Union, if affected, shall be given reasonable advance written notice of any ordinance, resolution,-rule or regulation relating to matters with the scope of representation proposed to be adopted by the City and shall be given the opportunity to meet with the appropriate management representatives prior to adoption.
