INDEMNITY AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> THIS INDEMNITY AGREEMENT is made and entered into on <br />September __, 1982, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> <br />a mu~icipal corporation, <br />FACILITIES CORPORATION, <br />corporation, and JOHN M. <br /> <br /> the CITY OF PLEASANTON PUBLIC <br /> <br />a California nonprofit public benefit <br />STANLEY, JOHN B. EDMANDS, and WILLIAM <br /> <br />H. GALE, JR., as individuals and officers of the City of <br />Pleasanton Public Facilities Corporation. <br /> <br /> WI TNE S S E TH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton Public Facilities Corporation <br />exists as a public leaseback corporation created to assist <br />the City of Pleasanton in the construction of public buildings, <br />structures and other facilities within the City of Pleasanton, <br />the directors of which are volunteers donating their time <br />and en;rgies in service to their community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton Public Facilities Corporation <br />has recently been asked to finance and construct new police <br />facilities within the City of Pleasanton, for which bonds <br />will be sold and construction and other contracts will be <br />let; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton appreciates the efforts <br /> <br />of the City of Pleasanton Public Facilities Corporation and <br />its member directors in making the timely construction of <br />these facilities possible and wishes to insulate the <br />corporation and its volunteer member directors from risk <br />of liability and/or loss; <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
