The Uniform Building Code as administered by the City of <br />Pleasanton provides that condominium conversions constitute <br />a change of occupancy requiring that the units meet current <br />building standards. The building codes are enforced to assure <br />the health and safety of Pleasanton residents. <br /> <br />Standards and Plans for Adequate Sites <br /> <br />Subgoal III. <br /> <br />It is the goal of the City of Pleasanton to assure <br />adequate locations for housing of all types. <br /> <br />The land use element of the General Plan lays out the geographical <br />distribution of land proposed for residential use.
