Implementation Program 1: To continue and expand <br />Pleasanton's building and housing code enforcement <br />program in order to ensure that local housing is <br />maintained in a safe and healthful manner. <br /> <br />This program requires the continued expenditure of local funds <br />for the purposes of code enforcement. Such enforcement in con- <br />junction with other programs can be used to upgrade the existing <br />housing stock. <br /> <br />Implementation Program 2: To provide a publicly <br />assisted housing rehabilitation program in the <br />downtown core area. <br /> <br />Through the use of Housing and Community Development Act funds - <br />the City is participating with the City of Livermore and Alameda <br />County in a valleywide rehabilitation program. Low-interest <br />loans, counseling and other services are available to local <br />homeowners who are low and/or moderate income and reside in the <br />downtown area. <br /> <br />-29- <br /> <br /> <br />
