Housin~ Preservation and Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Subgoal II <br /> <br />It is the goal of the City of Pleasanton to encour- <br />age and facilitate preservation and/or rehabilita- <br />tion of the existing housing stock. <br /> <br />Pleasanton's older residential structures, generally located in <br />the core area, provide housing for households of all incomes. <br />This heritage of essentially sound structures should be preserved <br />and maintained to the fullest extent possible. <br /> <br />Policy 1 <br /> <br /> It is the policy of the City of Pteasanton <br /> to encourage preservation of historically <br /> and architecturally significant residential <br /> structures. <br /> <br />The City is taking steps to foster a local environment that is <br />conducive to preservation. For some time now property owners in <br />the core area have been taking actions to preserve worthy structures <br />through rehabilitation.
