CONTRACT THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this day of , 1983 hy and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a body corporate and politic of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "City", and PLEASANTON HOUSING AUTHORITY, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor." WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, provision of in Exhibit A, City is desirous of contracting with Contractor for the certain services, a description of which are presented attached hereto; and WHEREAS, City is receiving funds pursuant to the Community Development Block Grant Program, funded by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, Contractor is willing and able to perform duties and render services which are determined by the City to be necessary or appropriate for the welfare of residents of City; and WHEREAS, City desires that such duties and services be pro- vided by Contractor, and Contractor agrees to perform such duties and render such services, as more particularly set forth below: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED AS FOLLOWS: 1. Attached hereto, marked Exhibit A, and by this reference made a part hereof, is a description of the duties and services to be performed for City by Contractor, and Contractor agrees to comply with all provisions, to perform all work, and to provide all such duties and services set forth in Exhibit A, in a professional and diligent manner. 2. City has allocated the sum of $8,700 to be expended as described in this contract. Unless an amendment to this contract otherwise provides, that amount shall in no event be exceeded by Contractor, and City shall under no circumstances be required to pay in excess of that amount. Payment shall be made pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in Exhibit B, attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. Sums not so paid shall be retained by City. 3. The term of this contract begins on the 30th' day of September 1983 and ends on the 29th day of February ~984. 4. Contractor shall maintain on a current basis complete records, including books of original entry, source documents supporting accounting transactions, eligibility and service records as may be applicable, a general ledger, personnel and payroll records, cancelled checks, and related documents and records to assure proper accounting of funds and performance of this contract in accordance with instructions provided and to be provided by City.
