NORTH PLEASANTON WATER SYSTEM I~PROVEMENTS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1983-3 DESCRIPTION OF WORK The North Pleasanton Water System Improvements, Assessment District No. 1983-3, will provide for the design and construction of water system facilities that will serve approximately 1,200 acres in North Pleasanton. In addition, improvements will be made to the existing water system that will allow the City to maintain the same level of service currently provided throughout Pleasanton. 1. Water Supply Facilities New turnout with a capacity of approximately 1,000 gpm from the Alameda County Zone 7 transmission system. Location: near Turnout 1 on Santa Rita Road. 2. Water Storage Facilities New 8 million gallon Foothill Reservoir. Location: approx- imately 700 feet northwest of the intersection of Foothill Road and Stoneridge Drive. New 7.5 million gallon Tassajara Reservoir. Location: approximately 6,000 feet northeast of the intersection of Interstate 580 and Tassajara Road. Water Transmission and Distribution Pipe~ A. New 24-inch pipe from Foothill Road to the new Foothill Reservoir. Length: approximately 500 feet. B. New 12-inch pipe along Foothill Road from Stoneridge Drive south to Flagstone Drive. Length: approximately 3,600 feet. C. New 12-inch pipe along Wast Las Positas and crossing Interstate 680. Length: approximately 2,200 feet. D. New 24-inch pipe along Santa Rita Road and Tassajara Road from Old Santa Rita Road to the new Tassajara Reservoir. Length: approximately 8,000 feet. 4o Ware± System Telemetry and Controls Replace the existing telemetry and control system with a new up-to-date system capable of monitoring and controlling the existing facilities and all new facilities in North Pleasanton.
