Summary of Volunteer Responses

As of July 11, 1983, a total of 313 questionnaires were
returned - 276 from active employees and 37 from retirees.

They have volunteered professional skills in such areas as
computer science, energy conservation and waste management, as well
as hobby interests such as fruit tree grafting and amateur radio
operation.

A sample tabulation of 50 returned questionnaires has shown a
high parcentage of volunteers who are computer scientists,
mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, physicists, and
mathematicians. However, employees with a broad spectrum of
professional skills have volunteered including administrators,
technical editors, secretaries and people in the construction
trades.

Benefits

The TVS program will contribute to good community relations and
employee morale. We expect to provide a substantial service to the
community, epecially as local agencies experience post-Proposition
13 budget problems.

-2-
