PROPOSAL FOR THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />III· <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />PURPOSE <br />Pacific Telephone is proposing a new telephone system for the City of <br />Pleasanton. The new system is a private automatic branch exchange for <br />the Pleasanton Civic Center, 200 Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California <br />and the subsidiary locations specified on page 10 of the RFP. <br /> <br />PROPOSALS <br />Pacific Telephone understands that proposals will be accepted by the <br />City of Pleasanton at the City Manager's office, 200 Bernal Avenue, <br />Pleasanton, California, 94566 until 3:00 p.m., January 24, 1983. <br /> <br />PRICES <br />Pacific Telephone understands and affirms that prices quoted must <br />remain firm for a period of 120 days from the first date for submittal <br />of proposals. <br /> <br />PAYMENT METHOD <br />Payment for the telephone system may be made by a straight lease <br />(rental) for as long as Pleasanton wishes to maintain the system. <br />Pleasanton has three other options to choose from in the form of a rate <br />stabilization contract. This contract would be for a period of seven <br />(7) years and would enable Pacific Telephone to fix the rate on the <br />CENTREX equipment for the life of the contract, protecting Pleasanton <br /> <br />from inflation and/or rate increase.* <br /> 1. Under the straight lease payment method: <br /> a. Monthly lease payment $2,969.68 <br /> b. Termination liability $1,400.00 <br /> c. Installation charges $9,217.88 <br /> d. Monthly maintenance provisions ~ <br /> <br />Under <br />only: <br /> <br /> d. <br /> <br />a 7-year rate stabilization contract for monthly charges <br /> <br />Monthly lease payment $3,001.95 <br />Termination liability $1,400.00 <br />Installation charges $9,217.00 <br />Monthly maintenance provisions ~ <br /> <br />Under a 7-year rate stabilization 'contract that includes monthly <br />charges and installation: <br /> a. Monthly maintenance provisions ~ <br /> <br />If Pleasanton would choose to pre-pay all installation and 7 <br />years' worth of monthly payments, the amount would be <br />$181,949.82.
