2. Engineering Plans. Owners shall provide the <br /> <br />engineering plans equivalent to those required as improvement <br />plans accompanying a final map for the construction of the <br />Del Valle Parkway from the north end of the Pico Avenue <br />bridge to the easterly tract line of Tract 4401. Said plans <br />shall include, at a minimum, plans°for a usable street <br />connection, including appropriate water lines or other <br />utilities required beneath the portion of street to be <br />constructed, and shall be satisfactory to the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Said plans shall be submitted to the City as soon as is reasonably <br />practical following execution of this agreement so that construction <br />of the usable roadway may begin in the summer of 1983. Owners <br />shall be responsible for no plan checking fees for said plans. <br /> <br /> 3. City's Responsibilities. City shall: <br /> <br /> a. Prepare necessary specifications and contract <br /> <br />documents and award a contract for construction to City <br />standards for a usable two-lane portion of the above-described <br />section of Del Valle Parkway, including water lines or other <br />utilities. Said street may include improvement less than <br />or the equivalent of that done by Owners on those portions <br />of the Del Valle Parkway within Tracts 4166 and 4401, but <br />may not exceed that level of improvement. Advertising and <br />award of the contract shall be in compliance with State law <br />requirements for public works projects. <br /> <br /> b. Administer and ~rovide inspection service for <br /> <br />the construction contract and pay the full cost of construction <br /> <br />of the above-described roadwork, estimated to cost $160,000. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
