EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />A-FEE CLASS - The cost of fee classes is set to attempt to return <br />the full cost of the instructor (s) and materials plus an addi- <br />tional 30% for program supervision and office support. <br /> <br />Fee class instructors are paid either hourly or on a contracted <br />basis as determined by department staff and instructor. Entering <br />into a contract for program service often allow s the flexibility <br />needed to provide a program. A copy.of the contract is attached <br />for information and approval. (Attachment A) The Recreation <br />Supervisor in charge of fee classes negotiates the contract. <br /> <br />Definition: <br /> <br />Unit of Measure: The unit/hour cost is computed by <br />determining the length of the class (number of <br />lessons times the number of hours per lesson) and <br />dividing the total cost of the class per individual by <br />this number. <br /> <br />b. 'Non-resident: Each out of town resident is assessed <br /> an additional $3.00 per class. <br /> <br />Late Fee: Late registration, those registering after <br />five working days prior to the first day of class, <br />pay an additional $2.00. <br /> <br />Special Direct Costs: Some classes have a direct cost <br />associated with the class because of specific materials <br />required, insurance,or certification fee. These direct <br />costs are not included in the hourly fee and, when <br />assessed to the client, are clearly noted. <br /> <br /> <br />
