VII. Term and Termination <br /> <br /> The term of this Agreement shall commence on the date of its execution by <br />both parties and shall continue until the completion of the work herein provided <br />for and said work is accepted by both parties, or on December 31, 1984, whichever <br />occurs first. <br /> <br />VIII. Modification <br /> <br /> If, during the life of this agreement, it becomes necessary to amend or <br />add to the terms, conditions, scope or requirements of this agreement, such <br />amendment or addition shall only be made after mutual agreement of CITY and <br />ZONI 7 and the execution of a modification of this Agreement. <br /> <br />IX. Liability <br /> <br /> It is understood and agreed that neither ZONE 7 nor any officer or employee <br />thereof is responsible for any d~m~ge or iiability occurring by reason of anything <br />done or omitted to be done by CITY under or in connection with any work, authority <br />or jurisdiction not delegated to or performed by ZONE 7 under this agreement or <br />otherwise. It is also understood and agreed that pursuant to Government Code <br />895.4 CITY shall fully indemnify and hold ZONE 7 harmless from any liability <br />imposed for injury (as defined by Government Code 810.8) occurring by reason <br />of anything done or omitted to be done by CITY under or in connection with any <br />of the work described herein. <br /> <br /> It is understood and agreed that neither CITY nor any officer or employee <br /> <br />thereof is responsible for any damage or liability occurring by reason of anything <br /> <br /> <br />
