that unless Hacienda Business Park Phase I is constructed, the City of Pleasanton will be unable to supply as many employment opportunities as there are workers living in Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, Hacienda Business Park Phase I is an environmentally sound project which will provide employment opportunities compatible with the job skills of the existing and future workforce of Pleasanton; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Council hereby reaffirms its decision that the development plan for Hacienda Business Park Phase I is consistent with the Pleasanton General Plan and specifically implements the development of commercial and industrial properties as encouraged by the Growth ~{anagement Element of the Plan and its legislative history. Section 2: The Council hereby directs the City Attorney to petition the Court for reconsideration of its intended decision in light of the history of the Growth Management Element. Section 3: The Planning Commission is hereby directed at its first meeting in March, 1983 to reconsider the recommendation which it made to the Council in May 1982 in connection with PUD Ordinance No. 1040 and to consider appropriate language which will make it absolutely clear that the development plan for Hacienda Business Park Phase I is compatible with and pursuant to the Growth Management Element of the General Plan, in particular its policy of increasing industrial and/or commercial development compatible with the job skills of the present and future residents of the City of Pleasanton. Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
