Warnick October 29, 1984 Page 5 Task 16 - Mechanical and Electrical Field Tests All required mechanical and electrical field testing as required by the specifications, including hydrostatic testing of the reservoir and pipelines, will be witnessed by CDM. Task 17 - Final Inspectin and Certification CDM will conduct a final inspection of the completed work to assess compliance with all of the requirements of the plans and specifica- tions and prepare, as necessary, a "punch list" of items of work to be completed prior to final acceptance of the work by the City. A certificate of satisfactory completion of the work and recommend- ations for final payment to the Contractor will be made. Task 18 - As-built Drawings One set each of the contract drawings corrected and revised to reflect changes in construction details that may occur during construction will be prepared. The as-buil t drawings will reflect the details of the project as laid out and constructed. FEE The engineering services for the two phases can be performed for the following fees: Phase One - Design $45,000 Phase Two - Construction Services $35,000 - $50,000 The design fee is based upon a 1.8 million gallon steel reservoir. If during preliminary design it is determined that a concrete reservoir is required, the cost of construction will increase from roughly $700,000 to $800,000, and CDM's engineering fee will increase from $45,000 to approximately $60,000. The estimates for Phase Two services is a rough approximation and can be more accurately estimated at the conclusion of Phase One. The level of effort for Phase Two will depend upon the type of reservoir and if it is buried or above ground. It is proposed that the firm of ENGEO, Inc. perform the geotechnical services as a subcontractor to CDM. ENGEO has considerable reservoir experience and has provided soils and geotechnical services to CDM for the existing Bonde and Foothill Reservoirs.
