This AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> is made and entered into this-~ day of <br /> <br /> by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California (hereinafter <br />referred to as "CITY"), and DKS Associates, a California <br />corporation, (hereinafter referred to as "CONSULTANT"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> Whereas, Consultant has prepared the "Pleasanton/Dublin <br /> Transit Study" under an agreement with the City of Pleasanton <br /> dated June 9, 1983; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, City now wishes to have an additional study done in <br /> order <br /> <br /> (i) to assess possible transit ridership generated by the <br /> <br /> employment centers recently developing in Pleasanton, <br /> particularly in North Pleasanton; <br /> <br /> (ii) to develop a transit plan to attract maximum feasible <br /> ridership to such employment areas, including estimates <br /> of potential costs (unconstrained by presently available <br /> sources); and <br /> <br />(iii) to investigate modification of and/or possible <br /> alternatives to the prior recommended transit routes to <br /> better serve new employment centers both within <br /> presently available funding levels and with additional <br /> funds which may become available; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, Consultant is qualified and willing to do said <br /> additional transit studies; <br /> <br /> <br />
