This data will <br /> then serve as the foundation upon which a marketing /branding effort and <br /> comprehensive shop local campaign for Downtown Pleasanton will be based. <br /> Cost: Estimated at $37,500 <br /> Implementation: Engage consultant within 30 days <br /> Temporary Promotional Signage Regulations <br /> Allow modifications regarding temporary promotional signage: <br /> Extend the time frame for the display of temporary promotional signage from <br /> 30 to 60 cumulative days annually, with a maximum 15 consecutive days <br /> display period. <br /> Permit the inclusion of the business name used to promote businesses on <br /> freestanding (A- frame) signage, positioned on private property along the <br /> property frontage. <br /> Permit the use of balloons, lights and other approved materials as part of <br /> store displays. <br /> Waiver of temporary/promotional signage requirements for special events that <br /> are sponsored or co- sponsored by the City. <br /> Approval would be provided over the counter by Planning Department staff. <br /> Cost: None <br /> Implementation: Within 30 days <br /> Shop Local Incentive <br /> Encourage consumers to shop downtown Pleasanton; when a shopper accumulates <br /> $300 in sales receipts from one or more downtown businesses, the consumer can <br /> exchange those receipts at City Hall and receive a $30 Downtown Pleasanton gift <br /> card.
