ATTACHMENT <br /> continue after 4:30 p.m. Commercial areas shall be swept between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 <br /> a.m. Sweeping shall be scheduled to maximize the area of street being swept by <br /> minimizing interference by parked vehicles. Sweeping shall be scheduled and done in <br /> such a way as to minimize noise complaints in residential areas. Downtown sweeping <br /> shall be twice a week on Mondays and Fridays between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. The <br /> Director may require revisions in the hours and /or manner of operation as necessary to <br /> maximize sweeping coverage. to minimize noise complaints, or to coincide with City <br /> staff w orking hours. <br /> 5 I lolidays There will be no sweeping on the following observed holidays: <br /> New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day. independence <br /> Day, Labor Day. Thanksgiving and Christmas. Contractor shall perform scheduled <br /> sweeping on the day before said holiday except when that day would be a weekend. then <br /> scheduled sweeping would he performed the day following the holiday. <br /> 6 Sweeping Routes Sweeping routes shall be adhered to by the Contractor. <br /> Contractor to provide a description of how it plans to meet the sweeping routing schedule <br /> subject to the approval of the Assistant Director or his or her designated representative. <br /> Sweeping schedules are to be on the same day of the week each month for the specific <br /> route. c.g._ second Tuesday of each month, etc. Contractor shall submit a calendar <br /> schedule designating the routes to the City for its approval. Areas scheduled for <br /> sweeping shall not coincide with same day garbage pick up service. <br /> 6. Vehicles It is understood that if vehicles are parked on the streets when <br /> services are being performed by the Contractor. then Contractor's operations will he <br /> impeded and Contractor will be required to bypass said parked vehicles. In such events. <br /> the rates charged by Contractor shall not be reduced. <br /> 7 Level of Cleanliness Level of cleanliness shall be defined as the absence <br /> of "street debris" in the streets and gutters upon the completion of the sweeping <br /> operation. Payment will be for one pass only. and no separate payment will be made for <br /> a second pass needed to remove street debris. <br /> 7.01 Sweeping /Vacuuming Contractor shall remove by hand- sweeping <br /> vacuuming all visible debris in and around "porkchop" islands, medians or any other <br /> arca not handled by the mechanical sweeper. Compensation for hand <br /> sweeping /vacuuming shall be considered as included in other terms of work. and no <br /> separate payment will be made. <br />
