THE CITY OF 1 0 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL -E ASANTON <br /> June 2, 2009 <br /> Operation Services Department <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF STREET SWEEPING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH <br /> CONTRACT SWEEPING SERVICES FOR CLEANING OF CITY STREETS <br /> AND PARKING LOTS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The FY2009 -2011 Operating Budget for Support Services provides for contract street <br /> sweeping services. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) was formally advertised in April of <br /> 2009 and a mandatory bidder's conference was held on April 14th, 2009. A total of six <br /> companies responded to the Request for Quotation by the due date of May 4th. <br /> Contract Sweeping Services was selected as the lowest bidder. A scope of services to <br /> be provided by Contract Sweeping Services is detailed in Proposal 1 of the Request for <br /> Quotation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Maintenance and Trade <br /> Services Agreement in the amount of $154,775. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The Support Services Division administers this project and has sufficient funding in the <br /> 2009 -2010 Fiscal Year budget under Miscellaneous Contracted Services identified in <br /> the Street Division Maintenance Activity Code 335406. The proposed contract with <br /> Contract Sweeping Services is for a period of two (2) years, with a condition that allows <br /> for extensions of the contract for up to two (2) additional years upon written agreement <br /> of both parties. <br />
