THE CITY OF LJ <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLE ASANTON. <br /> June 2, 2009 <br /> Operation Services Department <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF CUSTODIAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH PLATINUM <br /> FACILITY SERVICES FOR CLEANING OF CITY FACILITIES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The FY2009 -2011 Operating Budget for Support Services provides for contract <br /> custodial services. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) was formally advertised in March of <br /> 2009 and a mandatory bidder's conference was held on March 20 2009. A total of <br /> eight companies responded to the Request for Quotation by the due date of April 20 <br /> Platinum Facility Services was selected as the lowest bidder. A complete list of City <br /> locations and services to be provided by Platinum Facility Services is detailed in Section <br /> 5 of the Request for Quotation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Agreement for Contractor <br /> Goods /Services for Platinum Facility Services in the amount of $139,420.00. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The Support Services Division has sufficient funding in the 2009 -2010 Fiscal Year <br /> budget under Miscellaneous Contracted Services identified in the Janitorial Services <br /> Activity (031175) and Recreation Facility Maintenance Activity (031524). The proposed <br /> contract with Platinum Facility Services is for a period of two (2) years, with a condition <br /> that allows for extensions of the contract for up to two (2) additional years upon written <br /> agreement of both parties. <br />
