Proposed Project <br />SR 85:49 <br />City of Pleasanton <br />STAFF O n <br />REPORT Q �,J <br />HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br />January 22, 1985 <br />The subject property is located on the south side of the future <br />alignment of Bernal Avenue. It is bordered on the west by land <br />owned by the Water Department of the City and County of San <br />Francisco, on the south by the City of Pleasanton owned property <br />and on the east by 40 foot wide access strip also owned by <br />Pleasanton. The development plan submitted by EVH shows this 40 <br />foot wide strip as part of their project. Also shown as part of <br />the project is an 0.44 acre site located immediately south of <br />Bernal Avenue between the western property line of the Catholic <br />Church property and an 84 foot wide north /south trending street <br />which would be the southern extension of Old Bernal Avenue. This <br />site is owned by the City and County of San Francisco. <br />PUD- 84 -21, 262 Unit Apartment Project on Catholic Church Property <br />Members of the Council: <br />Background <br />EVH Partnership which has an option on the approximately 12 acre <br />parcel owned by the Diocese of Oakland located on the south side of <br />Bernal Avenue extension just west of the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />right -of -way and which has been before your Council on two separate <br />occasions (once with a 296 unit apartment complex and once with a <br />commercial /office complex) is now proposing a 262 unit apartment <br />complex on the site. They are seeking planned unit development <br />zoning and development plan approval for the project. This matter <br />was considered by the Planning Commission at their meeting of <br />1/9/85 and recommended for approval subject to certain conditions. <br />1 <br />
