PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />A. Review of Affordable Housing Proposal for a 12 -Unit Addition to Civic Square <br />Apartments (4800 Bernal Avenue) <br />Mr. Bocian advised that Braddock and Logan is proposing to remodel the existing rental <br />office, remove the existing tennis court, and add 12 new apartment units in three <br />buildings at its Civic Square apartment complex located at 4800 Bernal Avenue. He <br />reviewed the Affordable Housing Agreement with Commission members and further <br />advised that staff and the property owners have agreed to terms that require two <br />apartments be restricted to households with incomes at 80% or less of the Area Median <br />Income (AMI) and ten apartment units to households with incomes at 120% or Less of the <br />AMI, with some minor changes being made by staff to the standard terms for <br />Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance (IZO). Staff recommends the Commission approve the <br />request and recommend that the City Council approve an Affordable Housing Agreement <br />for a 12 -unit addition to Civic Square Apartments at 4800 Bernal Avenue. <br />Page 2 <br />ATTACHMENT 5 <br />
