Dowling Associates, Inc.
Transportation Engineering Planning Research Education
Review of TAZ Map for Consistency with Project List
Dowling Associates will review the current TAZ map to see if it adequately represents growth areas in the
City. Zone splits and project zones which are to be incorporated into the model will be added into the TAZ
GIS shapefile. Additionally TAZ relationships to the MTC model, census tracts, etc... will be updated for
any new or split TAZs.
Figure 1: Pleasanton Travel Model Transportation Analysis Zones
External Land Use
The current model includes buildout assumptions for Dublin and Livermore consistent with cumulative
forecasts at the time of the Triangle Study. Dowling Associates will work with the neighboring cities (Dublin
and Livermote, specifically) to ensure that any recent changes to the buildout of their General Plans are
incorporated into the Pleasanton model. We will set up the Pleasanton model to simply "read" the production
and attraction files from the Dublin and Livermore models so that the Pleasanton model can easily be
maintained.
1.4 UPDATE ROADWAY NETWORK ASSUMPTIONS
Dowling Associates will work with City of Pleasanton staff as well as staff from neighboring jurisdictions to
ensure that roadway projects which have been constructed or are planned for construction are appropriately
queued in the City of Pleasanton's "Master Network Many changes have been made in the last few years
(e.g., Dublin Blvd.) and more are expected.
