Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer. Councilmember Butler was absent due to illness. Staff members present were: Mr. Bocian, Interim City Manager; Mr. Roush, City Attorney; Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and Utilities; Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services; and Mr. Lee, Principal Planner, Department of Planning and Community Development. - Mr. Mercer introduced the new City Manager for the City of Pleasanton, Ms. Deborah Acosta. Ms. Acosta has held city administrative positions for the last 17 years and will assume her past on March 5, 1990. Mr. Mercer then introduced her husband, Mr. Frank Acosta, the Police Chief of the City of Milpitas, and Mrs. Mercer. 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Bocian requested that an item be added to the Consent Calendar as Item 40 - Commendation to ,7vdv anA nnnalA no,-~~,,, F Mr. Brandes requested that a correction be made on page 12 of the Minutes regarding his motion on Item ea - Status Report on the Fertile Crescent and Vineyard Avenue Corridor Studies, which should read: "...development applications on the properties on vineyard Avenue within the Fertile Crescent Study area until directed by Council...." 4. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that _ the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: a.
