Katie BelmontelComalete <br />Wireless Consulting, Applicant) <br />Appeal of the Zoning Administrator's approval of a design review to <br />install a wireless communication facility that includes rooftop <br />equipment with screening and three building-mounted antennas at <br />7050 Johnson Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD-IIC-O (Planned Unit <br />Development- IndustriallCommercial-Office) District. <br />This item was continued to a future meeting. <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />a. Discussion of the types of projects to be placed on the Consent <br />Calendar. <br />Commissioner Blank moved to remove Item l.a. from the table. <br />Commissioner Fox seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Blank, Fox, Narum, Olson, and Pearce <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RECUSED: None. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />The motion passed, and Item 7.a. was removed from the table. <br />Spelling Out Acronyms <br />Commissioner Blank noted that staff does an outstanding job in Agendas and <br />Minutes of spelling out acronyms, but this is not done with Conditions of Approval or <br />consistently in the staff reports. He recommended that this be done in the staff <br />report and Conditions of Approval as well as this will make things easier for the <br />Commission and for the public. <br />Window SignslTemporary Banners and Vacant Buildings <br />Commissioner Fox commented that there are a lot of vacant buildings and that some <br />of the signage around town consist of temporary banners. She requested that Code <br />Enforcement look at some of the shopping centers that are around Stoneridge Mall <br />and up and down Hopyard Road and Santa Rita Road as these are downgrading the <br />area. <br />Commissioner Narum stated that while she did not disagree with Commissioner Fox, <br />she noted that given the economic climate, it might be worth turning a blind eye for a <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES, January 14, 2009 Page 30 of 35 <br />
