RESOLUTION NO. 09-288* <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />ADOPTING THE STONERIDGE DRIVE SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT/ <br />STAPLES RANCH <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared a Draft Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan <br />AmendmenUStaples Ranch to address future development patterns on the 124-acre <br />Staples Ranch property and annexing 165 acres into the City of Pleasanton ("Project"), the <br />last remaining undeveloped portion of the original 293-acre Stoneridge Drive Speck Plan <br />area, bounded on the north by I-580 and the City of Dublin, on the east by EI Charro Road <br />and the City of Livermore, and on the south by the Arroyo Mocho channel and unimproved <br />quarry lands; and <br />WHEREAS, the Draft Specific Plan AmendmenUStaples Ranch calls for a variety <br />of public facilities, open space, trails, and other recreational amenities, as set forth more <br />particularly in the Plan Amendment documents; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 3, 2009 and on February 24, 2009, the City Council <br />received the Planning Commission's positive recommendation for approval of the <br />Project and, on those dates, received reports from the City staff concerning the Project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on February 3, 2009 and on February 24, 2009, the City Council <br />conducted a public hearing on the Project, took testimony from members of the public, <br />and considered the recommendations of the City staff concerning the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 24, 2009, the City Council certified the Final EIR for <br />the Project, finding that the Final EIR was complete, adequate and in compliance with <br />CEQA; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Project, which includes the full <br />extension of Stoneridge Drive, with turn lanes and two bridges over the Arroyo Mocho, <br />from its current terminus east of Trevor Parkway to EI Charro Road, and with the <br />revisions that were set forth on pages 1 and 2 of Attachment 9 of the February 24, 2009 <br />City Council Agenda Report, is consistent with General Plan and with the Stoneridge <br />Drive Specific Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER <br />THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. Adopts the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan AmendmenUStaples <br />Ranch, a full and complete copy of which is on file with the Planning Division of the <br />Community Development Department. <br />
