SECTION 6. GRANTEE'S COST Subject to the limitations set forth in Seet.~.on 4, the Grantee agrees to fund any and all Project costs exceeding the Contract Commitment (Section SECTION 7. PAYMEntS TO THE GRANTEE P~yment will be made in arrears to the Grantee by the State for actual costs of W~ter Audit and Leak Detection subject to the standard contract conditions set forth in "Fxhibit A". Request for grant payment shall conform to the instructions set forth in "Exhibit E". a) Upon approval by the State Program Manager of a completed Water Audit Report, an amount will be paid equal to the expanded Eligible Project Cost of the Water Audit but not to exceed the amount for the Water Audit designated in Section 5 of this Contract. b) Upon approval by the State Program Mmager of a completed Final Report of Leak Detection and Repair, an amount will be paid equal to the expanded Eligible Project Costs for the Leak Detection survey, but not to exceed the amount for Leak Detection designated in Section 5 of this Contract. c) By exception, if the Grantee can demonstrate financial hardship and a significant need for interim payment, an amount up to 90 percent of expanded Eligible Project Costs my be requested for reimbursement following the "Progress Report on Leak Detection and Repair". The reimbursable amount shall not exceed the amount for leak detection designated in Section 5 of this Contract. SECTION 8. TIMING AND MANNER OF PROJECT (a) This Contract shall take effect upon July 15, 1984, subject to approval of the Contract by the State Department of General Services, and shall remain in effect until its termination as specified in subsection (f). In no event shall the Contract take effect before approval by General Services as required by D.A.M. Section 6022.
