CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEb~NT is made and entered into this day of <br /> <br /> , 1984, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal <br />corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City"), and MERRILL AND <br />SEELEY, 60 Mission Drive, Pleasanton, California 94566 (herein- <br />after referred to as "Consultant"). <br /> <br /> RECITALS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Consultant has prepared numerous geologic and <br /> <br />seismic studies within the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to utilize the time and expertise <br /> <br />of a consultant to assist the City in preparing a Seismic Safety <br />Element of the General Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Consultant possesses the necessary expertise, <br /> <br />and will make the commitment necessary to complete the Seismic <br />Safety Element in accordance with the City's wishes; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, City and Consultant agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Employment of Consultant. City agrees to emmloy Consultant <br />and Consultant agrees to perform the professional geologic services <br />for City in accordance with the provisions hereinafter contained <br />in this agreement. <br /> <br /> 2. Consultant's Services. Consultant shall diligently and <br />expeditiously provide professional geologic assistance to the <br />City as necessary to complete a Seismic Safety Element, including <br />a complete review and revision, as necessary, of the City's <br />existing Seismic Safety Element.
