Wage 2 of 2
We need to follow through on commitments t our residents and to other cities for many gears.
Dublin, Livermore and the County expect SDE to be built to help the tri- valley traffic problem. As promised, we
should be building SDE in concert with our related plans to build El Charro and Dublin Blvd over the next few
years.
Finally, extending SDE will not turn SD into a freeway as some have claimed. In a worst case, the
maximum number of cars that can use SDE to bypass the freeway is about 1,000/hour due to freeway on -ramp
monitoring. This is minimal compared to traffic levels our 4 lane arteries such as Valley and Stoneridge were
designed for. This is a minimal amount of cars for this roadway and will result in reduced congestion in many
other areas of the city that these cars now use. This roadway was designed for thousands of cars as our other 4
lane roads are.
In summary, please continue with plans to get Stoneridge Drive built while others are willing to pay. Building it in
concert with other regional Mans for related road extensions such as El Charro and Dublin Blvd just makes
sense. We need improved circulation to help us get around, and Stoneridge has always been in the plan to
provide a 2nd east/west artery in addition to Malley. We need it now!
Thank you I
Sincerely,
Jennifer Fieble
4047 Schween court
Pleasanton, CA 94566
2/3/2009
