Be assured ar copy of your
message is being provided to the Mayor and Members of the City Council so they may have the benefit of your opinion.
Mary Lu Campbell
Executive Assistant
City of Pleasanton
P.O. Box 520
Pleasanton, CA 34566 -0802
From: Darn Maslana
Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2009 4:38
To: Mayor and City Council List
Subject: Stonerige Extension - Vote o!
Members of the Council - I have one question ... hove did we go from the council being ready to vote the
extension out of the City Plan throe short }roam ago to now ramming it down the throats of Pleasanton residents
without a City vote? Can anyone one of you explain to me how are city benefits from this extension? The most
recent traffic study was based on SIX different assumptions and NONE of them exists today or anytime soon.
So, you are obligated to explain to the public why this is a good idea ... and you CAN IT use the traffic study
a evidence until those I ass
um tions are in place. The most accurate traffic study to date is the T -Angle
study which showed 0% cut through highway traffic. . Please be honest and tell the public the true reason you
favor this Charnber of Commerce idea. If you push forward I GAURANTEE we will refer end your decision to
put the road through. Just like the most recent election QQ ors PP, you will lose. Please finally accept the
simple fact that every time Pleasanton residents have a chance to voice their opinion, they vote AGAINST
MORE DEVELOPMENT. Isn't it your job to listien to the public? The biggest decision to face our City in the
last 3 o }ream deserves to be on the ballot for people to decide ... not three council members who have recie ed
large carn argn contribution from the Chamber of Commerce.
Sincerely,
an Dias 1 ana
2266 Greenwood Road
Pleasanton, CA 94566
21312009
