Be assured a copy of your message is
being provided to the Mayor and Members of the City Council so they may have the benefit of your opinion.
Mary Lu Campbell
Executive Assistant
City of Pleasanton
P.O. Box 520
Pleasanton, CA 94566 -0802
From: Debbie Look
Sent: Tuesday, February o, 2009 4:53 P1
To: Mayor and City Council
Subject: Approval of Staples Punch
Mayor Hosterman and Council Members,
Although I am unable to attend the Council meeting tonight, I would like to urge all of you to approve the Staples Punch
Development EIR and planning documents. I would also encourage you to include the full build-out and completion of Stoneridge
give east to El Charro Road as an option in this document.
I believe the Staples Punch project and the extension of Stoneridge give are essential to protect our City's tax base, maintain our
wonderful quality of life and provide excellent recreational opportunities. I believe that it is critical that we keep the Hendrick Auto
Mall in Pleasanton given the sales tax revenues this busines produces - a vital factor in providing the many services we enjoy. I
am also highly supportive of the Sharks Ice facility as I think it will provide wonderful opportunities for our children and youth. Ice
skating, skating lessons, hockey and other activities will provide positive and healthy experiences for our young people.
I also firmly believe that Stoneridge give must be extended to El Charro Toad. A small group of residents should not swag the
decision to fulfill a plan that has been in place for many gears and that offers a multitude of benefits. Not completing this extension
could cost us severely in many other wags due to our inability to meet our regional traffic circulation commitments. I am also
concerned that the County may decide not to annex the Staples Punch to Pleasanton if this extension is not agreed to. We should
act now to take advantage of the County's offer to fund this extension by agreeing to it now.
I urge you to take action tonight to move this project forward now!
Debbie Look
2730 Longspur Way
Pleasanton, CA 94566
4000"
2/3/2009
