Both legal and transportation experts agree that ample and appropriate traffic analysis <br />has been done to insert the completion of Stoneridge Drive as an option in the F €lit at <br />this time. Numerous City Staff authored responses to DEIR comments from agencies, <br />organizations and individuals, specifically CALTRANS and the City of Dublin, referencing <br />said traffic analysis i included in the planning documents, Further it i in the best <br />interest of public health and safety to complete ton ridg with the Staples stanch <br />development. <br />4. In challenging economic times when cutbacks and closures are all too commonplace, , it <br />is critical for the City of Pleasanton to demonstrate decisive leadership and provide the <br />parties to the Staples Ranch development (Hendrick,, CLC, Fremont Land, San Jose <br />Sharks) with certainty and confidence that this PUD, already more than fire years in the <br />makin& will not be Jeopardized by additional study or political uncertainty. Delays of <br />any kind, no matter how well intended, put this project and the City of Pl a anton' <br />reputation, as place to do business, at risk. <br />. <br />In closing we urge the City Council to shover strong fiscal leadership, respond positive ly and <br />direct City Staff to include the completion of Stoneridge Drive as an option in the Final €iR and <br />more the entire Staples Ranch Development with its needed senior housing, new freeway <br />oriented retail, new auto mall, ice skating facility, community park and a completed Stoneridge <br />Drive forward In one comprehensive manner toward timely construction. <br />Sincerely, <br />Lr oIon <br />Chairman of the Board <br />Scott Raty <br />President/CEO <br />
