Section 17. Credit Union <br /> <br />The City shall implement a voluntary payroll deduction <br />option for those employees who wish to join the City <br />and County Employees Credit Union for the purposes of <br />transacting business with such City and County Employees <br />Credit Union. <br /> <br />Section 18. Deferred Compensation Plan <br /> <br />The City shall implement a deferred compensation plan <br />provided, however, ten percent (10%) of the PCEA member- <br />ship agree to participate in said plan. If at any time <br />participation in said plan falls below ten percent (10%) <br />of the PCEA membership, the City may at its discretion, <br />discontinue said plan at the conclusion of the calendar <br />year. <br /> <br />Section 19. <br /> <br />Educational Incentive Pay Program <br /> <br />19.1 <br /> <br />Purpose <br /> <br />The purpose of this plan is to reward those eligible <br />employees having obtained a specific level of educational <br />achievement in an area related to their job and, in <br />so doing, have become better qualified to discharge <br />the duties of their respective positions. <br /> <br />Eligible Applicants <br /> <br />Persons eligible to enroll in the Educational Incentive <br />Plan have met all of the following requirements: <br /> <br />Are permanent (non-probationary) employees with <br />the City of Pleasanton. (Employees on probationary <br />status as a result of promotions shall be deemed <br />eligible under this plan.) <br /> <br />ttave met all requirements of their posieion as set <br />forth in the City's Classification Plan in effect at <br />the time the employee was hired. <br /> <br />Intend to pursue an educational level related to <br />his/her present position as determined by the <br />Educational Standards Conmittee. <br /> <br />-23- <br /> <br /> <br />
