Section 8. <br /> <br />Standby Time <br /> <br />Standby time is that amount of specific and predetermined <br />time that an employee is required to be on call in addition <br />to the normal work day and shall be compensated at a rate <br />of pay equal to twenty hours of pay for each seven (7) <br />day period spent 'on standby. The hours of daily standby <br />duty for water division employees shall be 4:00 P.M. to <br />7:30 A.M. The daily hours of standby duty for sewage <br />treatment/sanitary sewer employees shall be 3:30 P.M. to <br />7:00 A.M. The requirement that employees in the classi- <br />fication of water system operator and sewage treatment <br />plant operators work standby shall be set forth in the <br />job descriptions of such classifications- <br /> <br />Section 9. Police Clerk Training Pay <br /> <br />Police Clerks assigned responsibility to train <br />new police clerks as part of a formalized departmental <br />training program shall be paid the sum of fifty dollars <br />($50.00) for each complete and continuous four week <br />period spent training. For periods spent training of <br />less than or more than four continuous weeks, said <br />fifty dollars ($50.00) payment shall be prorated on a <br />daily basis (to the nearest whole work day). <br /> <br />Section 10. Holidays <br /> <br />10.1 <br /> <br />Observed Holidays <br /> <br />The holidays to be observed are as follows: <br /> <br />January 1st. <br />February 12, known as "Lincoln Day." <br />The third Monday in February, known as "Washington <br />Day." <br />The last Monday in May known as "Memorial Day." <br />July 4th. <br />The first Monday in September known as "Labor Day." <br />The eleventh day of the eleventh month, known as <br />"Veterans Day." <br />Than]:sgiving Day. <br />The Friday following Thanksgiving Day. <br />December 25th. <br /> <br />-12- <br /> <br /> <br />
