FOR ANNUAL WATER REPLACEMENT, CIP NO. 071028 <br />SUMMARY <br />The subject project consisted of the installation of new water main, water service <br />laterals, water main bypass jumper and various related appurtenances along Fair Oaks <br />Court and Virgin Islands Court. The objective of this project is to improve water <br />distribution pressure, upgrade underground infrastructures, minimize repair and reduce <br />ongoing maintenance costs. Construction of the subject project is complete and is <br />ready for acceptance. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Accept the improvements for this project. <br />Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project. <br />Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $6,434.50 to D&D Pipelines, <br />Inc. thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br />4. Authorize the City Manager to transfer the remaining balance of $19,511 from the <br />subject project, CIP No. 071028 (Annual Water Replacement Project) to CIP No. <br />081028 (Annual Water Replacement Project). <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />This project will result in a decrease in the maintenance costs associated with the <br />ongoing repair of the leaking water main. <br />
