BACKGROUND <br />On September 2, 2008, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the <br />subject project to the lowest responsible bidder, D&D Pipelines, Inc. in the amount of <br />$129,000. The City Council also authorized the Director of Public Works to approve <br />change orders up to the project contingency amount of $25,800. The subject project has <br />since been completed and is ready for acceptance. <br />The Annual Water Replacement Project, CIP No. 071028, was authorized by the <br />2007/2008 Capital Improvement Program. The funding source was from the Annual <br />Water Replacement Fund. Approximately 548 linear feet of 8" PVC water main, a <br />water main jumper, ablow-off assembly, a new fire hydrant run and 17 water service <br />laterals were installed as part of this project along Virgin Islands Court and Fair Oaks <br />Court. <br />BUDGET <br />The final project funding, expenditures and remaining funds are summarized under the <br />Funding and Expenditure Summary (Attachment 1). <br />Staff recommends that City Council authorize the transfer of the remaining unused <br />project balance in the amount of $19,511 to CIP No. 081028 (Annual Water <br />Replacement Project). <br />Submitted by: <br />~ti- /)~- <br />Brian Dolan <br />Director of <br />Community Development <br />Fiscal Review: <br />c ,- <br />David P.
