Job No. 19447.010 <br />Exhibit A <br />Page 6 of 12 <br />Consultant will prepare a Composite Drawing. The composite will depict the location of all <br />trenches. The trench details will indicate the size and depth of the trench along with the <br />participation of each portion of the trench. Consultant will provide a Form B that will provide a <br />percentage cost breakdown of each trench and the cost for each percentage. In addition, the <br />composite drawing will show box, vault sizes, and location for each utility. <br />Task 2.4 Overhead Conversion - [f conversion of overhead facilities are required as part of the <br />improvements to the property, the Consultant will include the trench location on the intent <br />drawings. In addition, the Consultant will provide all construction sketches, notes, details, job <br />instructions, and material summaries that will be in accordance with the utility company's latest <br />construction standards. <br />3.0 REIMBURSABLES <br />Reimbursable expenses directly related to the Project services above such as printing, plotting, <br />postage, delivery, travel, etc. <br />E. Geotechnical Services - Berloear Geotechnical Consultants <br />Geotechnical Consultant shall provide the following general services: <br />1.0 PARKING LOT PAVEMENT DESIGN -Provide design recommendations for Parking Lot structural section. <br />2.0 FIELD EXPLORATION & TESTING FOR HMP INFILTRATION -Provide boring samples and testing [o <br />support Hydromodification Management Plan development of infiltration methods. <br />3.0 PRELIMINARY ESA INVESTIGATION - SURFICIAL SOIL CHARACTERIZATION -Perform surficial <br />soil sampling and testing [o determine presence of possible contaminants (Phase 2 ESA). <br />4.0 PRELIMINARY ESA INVESTIGATION -PHASE 1 ESA RECOMMENDATIONS -Perform soil boring <br />samples and groundwater testing to determine presence of possible subsurface contaminants (Phase 2 ESA). <br />5.0 REMEDIAL ACTION PLAN /SITE MITIGATION PLAN -Based on Environmental Site Investigations <br />prepare remedial action plan or site mitigation plan for confirmed contaminants, as needed. <br />The general services above are further described by the following detailed descriptions: <br />1.0 PARKING LOT PAVEMENT DESIGN <br />Consultant will sample the subgrade soils in the parking lot azea for R-value testing. Based on the results of <br />the R-value test, Consultant will provide geotechnical recommendations for the design and wnstruction of the <br />proposed parking lot asphalt concrete pavement and wncrete pavers in a letter (3 copies). <br />2.0 FIELD EXPLORATION & TESTING FOR HMP INFILTRATION <br />Consultant will drill and log three to four borings to depths of about 10 to 15 fee[ below the existing ground <br />surface using a track-mounted drill rig. Soil samples would be taken from the borings for gradation testing <br />and determination of soil types for infiltration/water quality design by hydro-modification consultant. Prior to <br />drilling, Consultant will obtain a drilling permit from Zone 7, locate the borings at the site and call USA for <br />underground utility mazking. As required by Zone 7, the boreholes would be backfilled with neat cement grout <br />after drilling and sampling. Soil cutting would be spread on the surface and left on-site to be addressed as <br />needed with the remedial /mitigation plan. Consultant will present the boring logs and laboratory test results <br />to Client and hydro-modification Consultant. <br />Note: Task Items 3.0 and 4.0 below provide for the Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and will be <br />prepared using the Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment For the "Alameda County Transportation Corridor, west <br />of First St between Bemal Ave & Stanley Blvd" prepared by BSK Associates dated November 7, 2007 as reference. <br />3.0 PRELIMINARY ESA INVESTIGATION - SURFICIAL SOIL CHARACTERIZATION (Phase 2 ESA) <br />The purpose of the preliminary environmental site investigation is to primarily assess the potential presence of <br />contaminants associated with the former railway.
