WHEREAS,

MEREAS,

WHEREAS,

MEREAS,

WHEREAS,

CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION NO. 84-105

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPEAL OF DONALD BEEMAN
TO A DECISION OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT I,~HICH
DENIED A VARIANCE TO ALLOW OCCUPANCY OF A MOBILE
HOME AT 8011 DOROTHEA COURT

at its meeting of January 25, 1984, the Board of
Adjustment denied Case AP-84-1, an application by
Donald Beeman for a variance to allow occupancy of
a mobile home on a single-family lot located at
8011 Dorothea Court for an ei,ght to twelve month
period while a permanent residence is being constructed
on the property; and

within the time specified by the Ordinance Code of
the City of Pleasanton, the applicant submitted an
appeal to the decision of the Board of Adjustment
to the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; and

at its meeting of February 28, 1984, the City
Council reviewed a report dated February 23, 1984
from the Director of ~lanning and Community Development
together with copies of staff reports to the Board
of Adjustment regarding this matter; and

the City Council held a public hearing at which
time the applicant and any other member of the
public was offered an opportunity to present
evidence regarding this appeal; and

after a review of the material presented, the City
Council makes the following findings:

That because there are special circumstances
having to do with the efficient utilization
of the subject property, the strict application
of the provisions of the Code would deprive
the property owner of privileges enjoyed by
other properties in the vicinity and under
identical zoning classification.

That because of the special circumstances
mentioned in paragraph (a) above, the granting
of the variance will not constitute a grant
of special privilege inconsistent with the
limitation on other properties classified in
the same zoning district.
