EXHIBIT "A" ~'" <br /> <br /> REGISTRAR OF VOTERS <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY · CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> December 14, 1983 <br /> <br /> REGISTRAR OF VOTERS' CERTIFICATE TO REFERENDUN PET[TION <br /> <br />I, Janice N. Kotter, Acting Registrar of Voters for the County of Alameda, State <br />of California, hereby certify: <br /> <br />That at the time of the last official report of this office to the Secretary of <br />State of California, the total number of registered voters in the City of Pleasanton <br />was 18,315; <br /> <br />That the municipal referendum petition entitled Referendum Against a General Plan <br />Amendment Passed by the City Council was submitted to this office for verification <br />by the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />That said petition consists of 210 sections containing 3,050 signatures; <br /> <br />That each section contains signatures purporting to be the signatures of qualified <br />voters of the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />That attached to this petition at the time it was filed were affidavits purporting <br />to be the affidavits of the persons who solicited the signatures, and containing <br />the dates between which the purported qualified voters signed this petition; <br /> <br />That each affiant stated his or her own qualifications, that he or she had so- <br />licited the signatures upon that section, and that all of the signatures were <br />made in his or her presence, and that to the best of his or her knowledge and <br />belief each signature to that section was the genuine signature of the person <br />whose name it purports to be; <br /> <br />That after the petition was filed I verified 515 signatures by examining the records <br />of registration in this County, current and in effect at the respective purported <br />dates of such signing to determine what number of qualidied electors signed the <br />petition, and from that examination I have determined that of these, 439 are <br />qualified voters of the City of Pleasanton and that 79 signatures were not su- <br />fficient. <br /> <br />That said examination indicates that 85.24% of the 3,050 signatures submitted are <br />of qualified voters of said city, which number is 2,599 and that 2,599 voters is <br />141.8% of the required 1,832 signatures. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my official seal this <br />14th day of December, 1983. <br /> <br /> Acting Registrar of Voters <br /> County of Alameda <br /> <br /> 1225 FALLON STREET · OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA · [415) 874-6361 <br /> <br /> <br />
