RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached draft resolution, upholding <br />the appeal and the Zoning Administrator's approval, thus approving T- Mobile's design <br />review application (Case No. PDRW -6), subject to the conditions of approval as shown <br />in Attachment 1, Exhibit B. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Property Owner: System Capital Real Property Corporation <br />Applicant/ <br />Appellant: <br />General Plan: Retail /Highway /Service Commercial /Business Profession <br />Office <br />Zoning: PUD -C (Planned Unit Development Commercial) District <br />In July 2007, T- Mobile applied for a design review application (Case No. PDRW -6) to <br />upgrade their coverage areas on the east side of Pleasanton. During their review and <br />engineering analysis, they determined that the optimum site to serve both current and <br />future needs would be the McDonald restaurant. This proposal increased the height of <br />the tower element on the building to accommodate the installation of the antennae and <br />supporting equipment.
