THE CITY OF <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />j~L£~S~NTONo <br />December 16, 2008 <br />Community Development <br />Planning Division <br />TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE SUBMITTAL OF A LETTER IN SUPPORT OF <br />ACCREDITATION FOR THE TRI-VALLEY CONSERVANCY <br />SUMMARY <br />The Tri-Valley Conservancy is seeking accreditation through the Land Trust Alliance. <br />This land trust accreditation program recognizes land conservation organizations that <br />meet national standards. Because of its experience working with the Tri-Valley <br />Conservancy on a number of agricultural and open space easements, the City of <br />Pleasanton is in a position to attest to the Tri-Valley Conservancy's governance <br />standards and technical operations. A letter supporting the Tri-Valley Conservancy's <br />application is attached for the City Council's consideration. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the attached letter for submission to the Land Trust <br />Accreditation Commission. <br />0 <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no financial impact. <br />
