accepting the Environmental Impact Reports as complete <br /> and adequate were adopted; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the EIRs indicate significant environmental effects <br /> would result from the projects, as summarized in the <br /> attached Exhibits "A" and "B", Environmental Impact <br /> Findings, and as more completely discussed in the EIRs <br /> themselves; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CEQA and state and local EIR guidelines adopted pursuant <br /> thereto require this City Council to make specific <br /> findings where an EIR identifies one or more significant <br /> effects which may result from approval of the project; <br /> and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves the application of the Walter Johnson <br /> Foundation to amend the Land Use Element designation of <br /> the General Plan to redesignate an approximately 173.2 <br /> acre site west of Foothill Road and below the 670 ft. <br /> elevation from Public Health and Safety" to "Low Density <br /> Residential," and does not change the approximately 35.8 <br /> acre site east of Foothill Road from"Low Density <br /> Residential." (GP-85-8) <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer,Mohr, Wood, and Mayor <br /> Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Section 2: Approves the Application of the City of Pleasanton to <br /> amend the Circulation Element of the General Plan as <br /> shown on the "Proposed General Plan Alignment" depicting <br /> Stoneridge Drive as the parallel freeway route and West <br /> Las Positas Boulevard terminating as a major <br /> thoroughfare east of Melbourne Court; staff is directed <br /> to meet with all affected parties concerning the <br /> Stoneridge Drive-E1 Charro Road issues and include a <br /> recommended solution as part of the specific plan to be <br /> undertaken for the northeastern Pleasanton Area; and <br /> directs staff to include an analysis of the effects of <br /> the General Plan amendment on the residents of the Lin <br /> Gate area west of Santa Rita Road into the specific plan <br /> for the northeast Pleasanton area.
