CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-588 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS TO THE <br /> LAND USE/CIRCULATION ELEMENT FOR THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATIONS FOR VARIOUS AREAS <br /> THROUGHOUT THE PLANNING AREA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, requests for General Plan changes to the Land <br /> Use/Circulation Element of the General Plan have been <br /> made concerning areas throughout the planning area, <br /> including the following: <br /> <br /> a. GP-85-8, Application of the Walter Johnson <br /> Foundation to amend the Land Use Element <br /> designation of the General Plan to redesignate an <br /> approximately 35.8 acre site east of Foothill Road <br /> from "Low Density Residential" to "Medium Density <br /> Residential" and redesignate an approximately 173.2 <br /> acre site west of Foothill Road and below the 670 <br /> ft. elevation from "Public Health and Safety" to <br /> "Low Density Residential;" <br /> <br /> b. GP-84-1, Application of the City of Pleasanton to <br /> amend the Circulation Element of the General Plan <br /> to delete West Las Positas Boulevard as an arterial <br /> east of Santa Rita Road and to designate an <br /> extension of Stoneridge Drive east of Santa Rita <br /> Road to E1 Charro Road with a conceptual extension <br /> to Livermore; <br /> <br /> c. GP-85-10, Application of John Caroline for a <br /> General Plan amendment to the Land Use Element of <br /> the General Plan to redesignate an approximately <br /> 0.32 acre parcel located on the southwest corner of <br /> the intersection of First Street and Stanley <br /> Boulevard from "Open Space" to "Commercial and <br /> Offices;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings on all <br /> of these proposed changes and has made recommendations <br /> concerning same; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on December 17, 1985, at which <br /> time the City Council reviewed the proposed General Plan <br /> amendments covering various areas throughout the <br /> planning area and considered all reports, documents, <br /> testimony, and recommendations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Environmental Impact Reports were prepared for GP-85-8 <br /> and GP-84-1 and on December 17, 1985 resolutions <br /> <br /> <br />
