CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 85-588 A RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE/CIRCULATION ELEMENT FOR THE GENERAL PLAN CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATIONS FOR VARIOUS AREAS THROUGHOUT THE PLANNING AREA WHEREAS, requests for General Plan changes to the Land Use/Circulation Element of the General Plan have been made concerning areas throughout the planning area, including the following: a. GP-85-8, Application of the Walter Johnson Foundation to amend the Land Use Element designation of the General Plan to redesignate an approximately 35.8 acre site east of Foothill Road from "Low Density Residential" to "Medium Density Residential" and redesignate an approximately 173.2 acre site west of Foothill Road and below the 670 ft. elevation from "Public Health and Safety" to "Low Density Residential;" b. GP-84-1, Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Circulation Element of the General Plan to delete West Las Positas Boulevard as an arterial east of Santa Rita Road and to designate an extension of Stoneridge Drive east of Santa Rita Road to E1 Charro Road with a conceptual extension to Livermore; c. GP-85-10, Application of John Caroline for a General Plan amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan to redesignate an approximately 0.32 acre parcel located on the southwest corner of the intersection of First Street and Stanley Boulevard from "Open Space" to "Commercial and Offices;" and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings on all of these proposed changes and has made recommendations concerning same; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on December 17, 1985, at which time the City Council reviewed the proposed General Plan amendments covering various areas throughout the planning area and considered all reports, documents, testimony, and recommendations; and WHEREAS, Environmental Impact Reports were prepared for GP-85-8 and GP-84-1 and on December 17, 1985 resolutions
